Sales Copywriting Conversion Voice

Install Draper Voice and Claude can:

  • Rewrite sales pages, promotional emails, and ad copy with sharper punch and clearer urgency
  • Draft launch sequences where email 1 leads with a story and every email pulls toward the offer
  • Audit existing sales copy against a clear ruleset (weak verbs, hedging, jargon, dilution)
  • Fork the file and codify your own house sales voice with the same structure

theCLICK maintains it. It is free.

Released May 2026

What you can do once it is installed

Ask Claude to rewrite a sales page, a promotional email, or a piece of ad copy in the Draper voice. The skill enforces the rules: short punchy sentences, single-sentence paragraphs for emphasis, no over-explanation, no jargon, no em dashes, no shame hooks. Email 1 in every sequence opens with a story. Every line earns its place. Use it on a landing page that reads flat, a launch sequence that needs urgency, or a CTA that is not pulling its weight.

An editorial sales-page draft on a desk with a clean ruled annotation in the margin, a vintage typewriter to the side, and a single highlighted CTA line, representing the Draper voice file as a portable rule set a copywriter brings to every promotional piece.

Starter prompts

Copy any of these into Claude after you install Draper Voice to see it in action. Each prompt is generic enough to work in any workspace.

1

Rewrite a landing page section that reads flat

Paste a landing page section that is not converting and ask Claude to rewrite it in Draper voice. Tell it the offer and the desired action. The skill will tighten sentences, kill over-explanation, add a rhetorical beat or two, and rewrite the CTA to be a confident directive.

2

Draft a five-email launch sequence

Describe an offer, the audience, and the launch window. Ask Claude to write a five-email launch sequence in Draper voice. The skill enforces the rule that email 1 opens with a story and every email moves the reader toward the offer.

3

Audit an existing sales page against the rules

Paste a sales page and ask Claude to audit it against the Draper voice rules. The skill returns a line-by-line list of weak verbs, passive voice, jargon, hedge phrases, and unearned CTAs, with rewrite suggestions for each.

What this plugin does

A Claude skill is a Markdown file with a name, a description of when to use it, and a body that tells Claude how to behave when triggered. Draper Voice is one of those files. It defines a sales-and-persuasion voice for promotional content: bold, urgent, emotionally charged, trusting the reader to keep up. The file is short by design (under a thousand words) so the rules stay in Claude's working memory while it drafts. Install it once and Claude can apply the voice to any persuasive task on request. The skill is platform-agnostic: it works in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and the Cowork app with no API keys, no external services, no setup beyond saving the file. Maintained by theCLICK and released free under an MIT-style license. Pair it with the Reynolds Voice skill for full content plus sales coverage. Fork, edit, ship your own.

The four jobs it does best:

One file, every platform

Claude skills are portable. The same Markdown file works in Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and Claude Cowork. Save it once, use it everywhere.

Short on purpose

Under a thousand words so Claude holds the rules in working memory while it writes. Short sales-voice files get applied. Long ones get skimmed.

Email 1 is story-based

A hard rule baked into the voice: the first email in every sequence opens with a narrative, not a problem statement, not a stat. Stories pull people in. Pitches do not.

Pair with the Reynolds voice

Install both skills for full coverage. Reynolds writes content that earns attention. Draper writes the offer that converts it. Tell Claude which to use based on the content type.

Who it is for

  • Solo experts and creators: a sharper sales page, a tighter launch email, a CTA that actually pulls. The skill applies the rules so you can spend time on the offer, not the rewrite.
  • Marketing teams: a portable house voice for sales. Fork the file with your brand's hard rules and every writer (or every Claude session) starts from the same baseline.
  • Founders running their own marketing: persuasive copy without hiring a sales copywriter. The skill enforces the structural rules so your offer reads as confident, not desperate.
  • Skip if: your audience needs a softer, more consultative sell. Draper is high-impact and direct. Modify the contents or switch to a different voice file for low-pressure positioning.

Ways marketers and operators use Draper Voice

16 ways the same tool shows up across content, research, lead gen, and quality assurance work.

Sales pages and landing pages

  • Rewrite flat sales page sections to be sharper and more persuasive
  • Tighten CTAs from suggestions to confident directives
  • Audit a landing page line by line against the voice rules
  • Draft new sales pages from a brief or offer doc

Email and launch sequences

  • Draft a multi-email launch sequence with story-led email 1
  • Rewrite promotional emails to lead with emotion and close with action
  • Build cart-abandonment and re-engagement sequences
  • Audit a sent sequence for weak verbs and hedge language

Ads and short-form persuasion

  • Write Meta and LinkedIn ad copy with the right rhythm and rhetorical beats
  • Rewrite ad headlines for sharper urgency
  • Generate short-form pitches for webinars and live events
  • Build variants of the same ad for different audiences or hooks

Sales-page audits and coaching

  • Critique a draft against the voice rules without rewriting it
  • Coach a writer through revisions with specific rule-based feedback
  • Train Claude on team extensions to the voice (proof patterns, objection handling)
  • Maintain voice consistency across writers and Claude sessions

For teams running this at scale

If a team writes dozens of sales pages or runs multiple concurrent launches, the skill still scales. The next step beyond a voice file is a sales-page plugin that wraps the voice with workspace files (offer doc, persona doc, proof asset library) and a capture model that learns your team's converting patterns. The voice file is the right starting point. Outgrow it deliberately.

Russ Henneberry, theCLICK

We use the Draper voice across every piece of sales copy we ship: the sales page for our membership, every launch sequence, every promotional email. The file in this library is the file we run in production. We ship it free because a sharp sales voice is a high-leverage thing for any marketer to have on hand. Watch item: the voice is opinionated (email 1 is always story-based, no em dashes, no shame hooks). If those rules do not fit your offer, fork the file and edit them. The structure is the value; the contents are a starting point. Current as of May 2026.
