TLDR:

  • Claude Cowork out of the box is smart and doesn't know your business. You will spend half your week re-explaining your offer, your voice, and your audience.
  • The free Growth OS Quick Start fixes that in about ten minutes. One install. A short conversation. Done.
  • The Quick Start writes the files Claude reads at the start of every job: CLAUDE.md, persona, offer, brand voice.
  • Growth OS is theCLICK's setup framework for Claude Cowork. The Quick Start is the installer that builds it.
  • This is the right first move whether you are a solo operator, agency, e-commerce brand, SaaS, healthcare, real estate, coaching, construction, or nonprofit.

What You Will Set Up in This Phase

By the end of this page, your workspace has:

  • A working CLAUDE.md file at the root with your brand voice, persona, offer, and ground rules.
  • Per-document files for deeper context: persona.md, offer.md, brand-voice.md, business.md.
  • A skills/ directory with the first five Skills pre-installed.
  • The Growth Ideas Engine and Morning Routine wired up so Claude starts producing real output right away.

The whole thing installs in about ten minutes through one guided conversation.

Most marketers using Claude Cowork in 2026 are still re-explaining their business every time they start a new task.

That is the avoidable mistake this page exists to solve.

This is Phase 1 of theCLICK's setup framework for Claude Cowork. It is the foundation that the other four phases (How AI Agents Work, Skills, Connectors, Plugins) all build on. Get this right and the rest of the framework compounds.

Claude Cowork Out of the Box

Anthropic launched Claude Cowork in 2026 as Claude that does the work for you. You hand off a job. Cowork plans the steps, opens your files, calls the apps you connect, and brings back a finished draft.

That is the product. It is excellent.

What it does not have is any idea who you are. Default Cowork knows the public internet, the Claude training set, and whatever you happen to paste into the current chat. It does not know your offer. It does not know your audience. It does not know your voice. It does not know what week of the quarter you are in or what you tried last month.

So you get competent generic output. The LinkedIn post that reads like every other Claude post. The audit that misses the points your offer actually rises or falls on. The newsletter that sounds like nobody in particular wrote it.

The fix is not a better prompt. The fix is to give Cowork your business up front, once, and let it read those files at the start of every job.

That is what the Growth OS Quick Start does.

What Is Growth OS

Growth OS is theCLICK's setup framework for Claude Cowork. It is the playbook that turns default Cowork into a working AI marketing teammate that knows your business.

The framework has five phases:

  1. Get Started. Install the Quick Start. The thing you are reading about right now.
  2. How AI Agents Work. The mental model for what Claude actually does when it is running a job.
  3. Skills. Reusable folders of instructions Claude loads when a specific job is on the table.
  4. Connectors. Native and MCP connections that let Claude reach Notion, Drive, Slack, Apify, Zapier, and the rest of your stack.
  5. Plugins. Packaged workflows that ship Skills and Connectors together. Coming soon.

Growth OS is the framework. The Quick Start is the installer. You can build a Growth OS workspace by hand if you want, but the Quick Start does it for you in one short session.

What the Growth OS Quick Start Installs

The Quick Start is a free Cowork plugin. You pick the version that matches your business: solo operator, agency, e-commerce, SaaS, healthcare, real estate, coaching, construction, or nonprofit. Each version installs a workspace tuned to that vertical.

When you finish the install, you have:

  • CLAUDE.md at the root of your workspace. The standing brief Claude reads every time it opens.
  • core/persona.md with your audience, their pain points, and what they want next.
  • core/offer.md with what you sell, what each offer is for, and what you do not sell.
  • core/brand-voice.md with your voice rules, tone, and the words to avoid.
  • core/business.md with the basic facts: company, mission, founded, what you actually do.
  • A skills/ directory with five pre-installed Skills you can run today.
  • The Growth Ideas Engine. Generates twelve to twenty growth ideas across a ten-stage Customer Journey framework, grounded in your real business.
  • The Morning Routine. A daily briefing that opens with weather, calendar, open tasks, and three suggested actions.

Every file Claude reads is grounded in your business from minute eleven onward.

How to Install in Ten Minutes

The whole install happens inside Claude Cowork. You do not need to know how to code.

  1. Open Claude Cowork (the Claude desktop app on Mac or Windows).
  2. Pick a folder on your computer where Cowork will work. Anywhere on your hard drive. This becomes your workspace.
  3. Download the Quick Start from theclick.ai/claude-cowork-quick-start-plugins. Pick the version that matches your business.
  4. Install the plugin into Cowork through Customize, Plugins, Add plugin, Upload.
  5. Type run quick start in your Cowork chat. The plugin takes over and walks you through a short interview.
  6. Answer the prompts. It will pull what it can from your website, then ask you about anything missing.
  7. Done. Your workspace has CLAUDE.md, persona, offer, brand voice, and the first five Skills. Ten minutes.

You can hand Cowork its first real job the same session.

CLAUDE.md: The File That Loads Every Time

The most important file in your Cowork workspace is CLAUDE.md. It sits at the root of the folder. Every time Claude starts a job in that folder, it reads this file first.

CLAUDE.md is the standing brief. The orientation. The page Claude checks before it gets to work.

The Quick Start writes your first CLAUDE.md for you. It is short on purpose. Twenty to forty lines, mostly pointers to the deeper files in your core/ directory (persona.md, offer.md, brand-voice.md, business.md). Claude reads CLAUDE.md every time, and reaches for the deeper files when a specific job calls for them.

You can edit CLAUDE.md any time. Open it in a text editor. Add a line. Save. The change applies immediately the next time you open a Cowork task in that folder.

The rule that matters: keep CLAUDE.md short. A giant CLAUDE.md blows your context window before Claude has done a single thing. Make it a table of contents for your workspace, not the workspace itself.

Why This Setup Matters: Context Engineering

The thing that makes Claude Cowork feel like a real teammate is context engineering. The practice of giving Claude the right information at the right time so it can produce good work.

Every Claude job starts empty. The model has its training, but it does not have your business, your voice, your offer, the brief you wrote last week, or the file your VA dropped into the folder this morning. What you load in front of Claude before it answers is the whole game.

The Quick Start does context engineering for you. CLAUDE.md is the brief. The core/ files are the deeper context. The skills/ folder is the specialist instructions Claude loads only when the relevant job is on the table.

When Claude produces generic output later, the fix is almost never a smarter model. It is almost always a missing line in CLAUDE.md or a core/ file that needs a tighter version of what you sell or who you sell to. The setup is the work. The Quick Start gives you a setup that already holds up under real jobs.

What You Have When This Phase Is Done

A working CLAUDE.md at the root of your workspace. A core/ folder with your persona, offer, brand voice, and business basics. A skills/ folder with the first five Skills already installed. The Growth Ideas Engine and Morning Routine wired up. Cowork ready to take real jobs that sound like you wrote them.

Phase 2 (How AI Agents Work) is the mental model for what Claude is doing once it has all this context. Phase 3 (Skills) is how you teach it the specific jobs of your business. Phase 4 (Connectors) is how it reaches the rest of your stack.
